Mesquite is an extremely hardy, drought-tolerant plant. It is found in dry arid parts of South America and the southern US states. When fully ripened, the pods of the mesquite plant are picked, then gently dried at low-temperatures and milled into a fine powder, ensuring all of the vital nutrients of this superfood remain intact.
