Brazil nuts have a rich creamy taste, similar in texture to the coconut. They can be used as additional ingredients in muesli, cakes, desserts or nut mixes. Alternatively just enjoy as them as a snack plain, roasted or salted. Brazil nuts are the seed of the rainforest Amazonian tree 'Bertholettia Excelsa'. The nuts grow in clusters of 12 to 24 inside 5 or 6 inch pods that fall from great heights when ripe, so harvesting can be a dangerous occupation. Also know as 'Cream Nuts' or 'Para Nuts' . They are a natural source of Selenium, protein and fibre.
