Millet is one of the oldest foods known to man. It is highly nutritious, non-glutinous and is not an acid forming food - so it's soothing and easy to digest. Millet is a "warming grain" and naturally gluten-free. Stove Top Preparation: Mix together ½ cup of Millet Cereal and 1¼ cups water in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add salt and dried fruits/nuts/spices (optional ingredients) to taste. Microwave Method: Mix Millet Cereal and water in a non-metallic container and microwave for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave for 1 more minute. Add in salt and dried fruits/nuts/spices (optional ingredients) to taste. Vary amount of water for thicker or thinner consistency.
