Our organic vanilla beans are the Planifolia species, which is only harvested once a year. It is also known as Bourbon or French vanilla. The beans tend to be longer and thinner than the more common Tahitensis species (Tahitian Vanilla) and the aroma is more 'woody' and provides the classic & delightful lingering vanilla flavour to your dish.
