These Spiral Kanten Agar Agar Flakes are a firm textured, white gelatine derived from sea vegetables. Kanten Agar Agar is used to make aspics and jelly. Agar Agar has no calories and is a good source of dietary calcium and iron.
These Kanten Agar Agar Flakes may be effective in decreasing blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and constipation. Kanten does not lose any nutrients from cooking however, consuming it with vitamin D may allow the calcium to be absorbed more effectively. Kanten Agar Agar should be consumed with vegetables and fruits which are abundant in vitamin C to allow more efficient absorption of iron and secretion of gastric juice.

How to cook Kanten Agar Agar... Soak 2 tablespoons of Kanten Flakes in 600ml of water for 2 hours. After boiling, stir until it dissolves completely with low heat.
