It is time to take your juicing to the next level? Yes…there is such a thing! I am talking here about adding more nutrients & antioxidants, and turning your juices into super powerful healing and energising drinks.

There is a lot of information available now on the benefits of creating your own smoothies so you may have already tried the old kale and apple combination. Let's change the variables a bit and visit other combinations. Let's start with the kale. It is a great green leafy vegetable but like any food, it is important to rotate them into your diet. So try taking a break from kale and introduce a few new green leafy vegetables with some interesting nutritional wholefoods to create a nutrient-dense smoothie.

Here are a few suggestions that you can use alone or in any combination:

  • Lettuce
  • Basil
  • Parsley
  • Coriander
  • Mint
  • Wild Spinach AKA Galangal greens (it grows every where, google it)
  • Purslane
  • Cabbage leaves
  • Broccoli leaves
  • Cauliflower leaves
  • Broccoli

There are many more so don't be afraid to let your imagination go crazy! Juice them all. Try some of these supplements that you can add to your juices to take them to the next level (add 1 teaspoon per cup):

Those are my favorites and I have them on a daily basis.

The trick is to supplement them with other wholefoods to make them even more tasty so always add some fruit like mixed berries to the juices to add some taste! Otherwise it is too hard core.

Other little things that you can add to your juices are:

  • Organic Chia seeds
  • Organic Psyllium husks
  • Raw Goji Berries

These ingredients should only be added at the very end, and never blended. You'll need to be quick here because Chia and Psyllium will jellify your juice.
