PRODUCT INFORMATION

Ingredients

500g organic green lentils
3 large organic onions, finely chopped
2 large carrots, peeled and finely chopped
3 organic garlic cloves, finely chopped
6 organic bay leaves
Himalayan rock salt (fine)
Organic black pepper
1/2 - 3/4 cup organic olive oil
1/4 cup organic apple cider vinegar
2 tsp organic wholewheat bakers flour (optional)

method

  1. Rinse the green lentils well in cold water.
  2. In a large saucepan, saute the onions, carrots and garlic until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the lentils, bay leaves, and salt and pepper to your taste. Stir well.
  4. Add 2 litres of filtered water to the pot and slowly bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and cover, cooking until lentils are soft.
  5. Check water from time to time and add more if necessary.
  6. Dissolve wholewheat bakers flour in the apple cider vinegar, then stir it well into the soup.
  7. Simmer for a few minutes more, then serve immediately.
