Paprika imparts a sweet and mildly spicy flavour to food. Add in the middle or towards the end of cooking to unlock the flavour. Ensure there is always a liquid component when adding your Paprika as without liquid it will burn almost instantly. Paprika is bitter and unpalatable if burnt.

You can substitute chilli or cayenne with paprika if you don’t want your dish to be hot.

Paprika spice is derived from many different peppers from Capsicum Annum group of plants, including capsicum and bell peppers.
