HOW TO USE
Sometimes called almond flour, it is commonly used as an ingredient in cooking including cakes and biscuits as it is a great substitute for grain flours and can also be added to smoothies.
GROWING & PROCESSING
Once the almonds have been harvested, they are simply ground into a meal and packaged. They have a creamy and speckled colour as the husks or skins have not been removed prior to the grounding. They have not been blanched prior to being ground into meal, so this meal is referred to as natural. No preservatives or additives are combined with the almond meal, it’s just almonds!
