Why we were drawn to Thanks Darl

At the heart of what we do is curating brands that deliver joy and integrity. Thanks Darl stood out instantly: handmade muesli bars with real, locally‑sourced ingredients, distinct flavours, minimal processing and a fun Aussie spirit. Their mission to “ban boring snacking” resonates deeply with our belief that wellness products should delight as much as they nourish. 

The story behind Thanks Darl

Picture a lazy Sunday afternoon: founders Joel and Laura sipping a chocolate milkshake, chatting about the snack world. Laura says, “You should make a new kind of muesli bar!” And from that casual moment came a big idea. Over five months and 286 recipe experiments, they launched Thanks Darl in 2020 with three flavours at the Mullumbimby markets. 

Set in the beautiful Byron Bay region, their kitchen sources macadamia oil from the northern NSW hinterland, pumpkin seeds from the few farms in Victoria, and roasts everything by hand in small batches. That commitment to craft and locality is part of what gives their bars such character.
