2 cups of organic coconut milk (or nut milk of choice)
4 tbsp of organic maple syrup
3 organic green cardamom pods
1 organic cinnamon quill
½ tsp of organic nutmeg
pinch of whole organic cloves
2 star anise
small nob of fresh ginger (2-3cm size piece)
- Place nut milk in a saucepan over low heat – do not bring to boil
- Place spice mix in nut milk and stir occasionally for 2-3 mins
- Add maple into spiced milk and mix, leave for another 1-2 mins until hot (cooking time on average should take at least 5 minutes)
- Strain spices out of the milk before serving.
