With a new year just around the corner, we’d like to take a moment to reflect and thank you for your incredible support at this time of the year. There’s also nothing quite like giving a helping hand to those on the ground making a difference.

PROJECT TIMOR 

Project Timor supports young women in Maliana, Timor Leste, by providing access to quality education and essential nourishment through three key programs: Food For Thought, the Colegio Scholarship Program, and the Teacher Professional Learning Centre. Coffee plays an important role too - grown and sold locally, it provides income for the community while also funding education initiatives back in Timor Leste.

Project Timore - Milestones & Impact in 2025

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful new updates on the impact Neighbours Blend Coffee continues to make.  

This month, we’re delighted to be passing on a generous contribution to Project Timor - a combined total that reflects both our Christmas donation and the steady support shown through your coffee purchases throughout the year. Since launching Neighbours Blend in 2022, the funds raised have continued to grow, helping provide ongoing education, nourishment, and opportunities to young women in Maliana.

Even better, the final months of the year are shaping up to be our strongest yet, with October and November coffee sales already making a meaningful additional contribution that will be included in the next quarterly update.  

Empowering futures: Mercy Woman's Scholarship Highlights

We’re so excited to share some wonderful updates from Timor-Leste that really show the difference your support is making. Two of our very first Mercy Women’s Scholarship recipients, Illy and Amuna have now graduated as doctors and hope to return to make a positive impact in their local community of Maliana.  

Building The Future: Teacher Learning Centre Update 

This year, the Teacher Professional Learning Centre has now progressed through Phase 2 of construction. This centre, which officially opened Phase 1 last December, will provide ongoing professional learning opportunities for teachers across Timor Leste and even hosted Colegio’s Year 12 Graduation Ceremony this year - a truly exciting milestone for everyone involved. 

Fueling Futures: Food For Success 

We’re also thrilled to celebrate the incredible success of the Food For Thought program. Through initiatives like the #Participate&Play4Protein day and fundraising during Lent, enough protein could be provided - buffalo, chickens, soybeans, tuna, and eggs - to support all girls in the dormitory for the next few years.  

Every coffee purchased, every action taken and every bit of awareness raised helps make this possible and we couldn’t be more grateful for the role you play in this journey.
