Blackstrap molasses is an alternative natural sweetener. The rich full-bodied flavour of organic blackstrap molasses can be enjoyed in baking, cooking, bread making or as a topping. It is also delicious in sauces & marinades.

Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. 

Molasses is by-product of the refining of sugarcane or sugar beets. It is the thick dark syrup remaining after the sugar is extracted.  Regular molasses comes from the first or second boiling, whereas blackstrap molasses comes from the third boiling of syrup. Blackstrap molasses has the highest concentration of vitamins and minerals and is very dark in colour and very viscous.
