Organic Quinoa pronounced 'keen wa' is a nutritious gluten free grain, rich in essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

Organic quinoa flour contains more protein than any other flour and is naturally gluten free so is suitable for those sensitive to gluten. It has a mild nutty flavour and can be used in gluten free baking or combined with other flours to increase the nutritional profile of recipes.

Organic quinoa flour can be used in gluten-free baking or combined with gluten-rich flours when baking cakes and breads that rise. You can substitute organic quinoa flour for approximately half of the all-purpose baking flour in many recipes or completely replace wheat flour in cakes and cookie recipes. When replacing 100% of gluten containing flours in recipes, a binding agent, such as eggs, needs to be added or increased, the cooking time and temperature will need to be reduced and additional moisture is required. Organic quinoa flour blends well with other grain free flours such as buckwheat and almond flour as well as bean flours like besan flour.

Try organic quinoa flour to make delicious pancakes, quinoa bread, pasta, muffins and biscuits. It can also be used as a thickening agent for sauces, in place of cornflour.

Organic quinoa flour is produced by stone milling seeds of the quinoa plant (stoneground) to produce a coarse, creamy coloured flour with a strong nutty flavour and aroma.
