Organic Oat Bran is made from the outer layer of the oat grain. Oat bran contains beta-glucan, a form of soluble fibre, which may help to reduce cholesterol levels. Oat bran has a low glycaemic index (GI), so may help to stabilise blood sugar levels and support weight loss efforts by increasing the sense of fullness after meals and reducing hunger.
Oat bran is often added to breakfast cereals, smoothies and used in baking to add additional fibre and texture.
