I had been loyally buying the 5kg organic basmati rice because it was a product of India, and it was great! However, without realising that the country of origin has recently been changed from India to Pakistan, I certainly won't be buying it any longer, and would caution against its consumption. Though online it's still being sold as rice from India. Whilst most of the arsenic can be removed by soaking the rice in water several times, it can hardly be categorised as "organic". Consequently, the Pakistani rice is inferior to Indian rice, and the monikers of "honest to goodness" and "no nasties added" from a company that started with a market stall is plain rubbish. Tonnes of rice is being bought in a shipping container, transported to Australia and sold on the basis of puffery! The rating requires at least one star, but it does not deserve it!
