Honest to Goodness Organic Cacao Powder is made from pure cocoa beans that are ground to a fine, non-alkalised powder. This process retains the naturally tart cocoa flavour and slightly lighter colour than traditional Dutch-processed cocoa.
Cacao Powder has a slightly bitter chocolate taste and is great for smoothies and hot chocolate.
Kindly note as our cocoa beans have undergone roasting this is not a raw product.
No GMO. No added sugar or preservatives.
HOW TO USE
Organic Cacao Powder retains and accentuates the naturally tart and acidic flavours of the cocoa bean. Simply substitute Organic Cacao Powder in place of cocoa powder in any recipe that does not use baking powder or baking soda or other leavening agents. If your recipe does call for leavening, stick to the type of cocoa or cacao specified as the acidity or alkalinity of the ingredient mix is important the final texture and flavour.
GROWING & PROCESSING
Organic cacao is picked from the tree and beans extracted and roasted at high temperatures. Unlike Dutch-processed cocoa, Organic Cacao Powder does not undergo an alkalising process meaning it retains its natural acidity.

I love Honest to Goodness Organic Cacao powder!! Buying the bulk 4kg pack means that I'll have it on hand to use for ages. Tastes so good and is a great superfood.
Worth it.
This cacao has a greater depth of flavour than the brand I had been using. The bulk buy makes it more economical for me. FYI: I live in FNQ and store what is not “decanted" for immediate use, in the freezer.
