Gluten-Tested Oats? Wheat-Free Oats? It can all get a little confusing but we are here to make it a little less confusing for you! Wheat-Free Oats are now what we call them and the reason why is explained below!
WHAT HAS CHANGED?
Simply what we call them! Our Organic Wheat Free Oats are the same product as our previously labelled “Organic Gluten Tested” Oats. These delicious and nutritious oats are grown and processed in a special facility and are batch tested for the presence of gluten. No gluten was detected within the limits of the test (<5ppm).
SO WHY NOT CALL THEM GLUTEN-FREE?
The national food safety standard (FSANZ) prohibits the use of a ‘gluten-free’ claim on oats and oat-containing products, so we have decided to update what we call these oats to "Wheat Free” to help inform customers that want to limit or avoid gluten.
