Syrup Or Nectar? It’s All About The Taste

Introducing our latest addition: Organic Coconut Flower Nectar! You may be wondering, what’s the difference between Honest to Goodness Organic Coconut Flower Nectar and Honest to Goodness Organic Coconut Syrup? Both are great for cooking and as a topping on your favourite foods, but how do you know which one will best suit your recipe?

Surprisingly, Coconut Flower Nectar doesn't taste like coconut. It has a neutral sweet flavour (making it a closer match to sugar), and our Coconut Syrup has a light savoury flavour more like molasses with slight coconut notes.

Honest to Goodness Organic Coconut Flower Nectar is made using a process called Enzymatic Hydrolisis, which uses a lower temperature and enzymes rather than heating to achieve the final product. This results in a sweeter flavour and lighter colour. Coconut Syrup is made from sap that is heated to 75-80 degrees, which prevents fermentation and evaporates the water content, making it around 75% sugar and a dark mahogany brown colour.

So, are you ready to give Honest to Goodness Organic Coconut Flower Nectar a try? Use in baking, cooking or drinking - or enjoy as a delicious spread on top of pancakes, cereals and more. The sweeter flavour makes it extra delicious and the ideal natural sweeter!
