SHORT DESCRIPTION

These warming stewed apples are a great remedy to get things moving! Apples are a rich source of insoluble and soluble fibre, and are one of the best natural ways to treat and prevent a blocked tummy. The addition of cinnamon helps stabilise your blood sugar levels, a nice addition to the natural sugars in the apples.

DESCRIPTION

  1. Place all ingredients into a large saucepan and stir to coat the apples in the spices.
  2. Cook on moderate heat until the water starts to bubble, then reduce the heat to low, place the lid on and let the apples cook for about 10 minutes or until the apples are soft.

INGREDIENTS

8-10 green apples, cored and cut into wedges (skin on if organic, otherwise peeled)
1 tsp Organic Cinnamon Powder
½ tsp Organic Ginger Powder
Pinch of Organic Nutmeg Powder
¼ to ½ cup water
