What is Bibimbap? Bibimbap simply translates to - mixed rice with meat and assorted vegetables. This Korean dish is packed with vegetables and protein. It's a great dish to cook when you need to use up some leftover veggies and you can always switch out the beef for tofu if you would like a vegetarian option.
DESCRIPTION
Soak rice for 4-24hrs or rinse until water runs clear.
Marinade beef in minced garlic, ginger, spring onion, tamari and 1 tbsp sesame oil for at least 4 hrs before cooking.
Quickly pan-fry beef for 2-5 minutes.
Thinly slice or julienne the carrot.
Thinly slice zucchini and saute until soft in a little sesame oil, repeat this with the asian greens and bean sprouts.
Cook rice with absorption method or using rice cooker. Once cooked add in rice vinegar and sesame oil.
Fry egg in pan.
Place rice in bottom of bowl. Place the satued vegetables and beef around the bowl. Add egg and gochujang on top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Mix together and enjoy!
