This sweet and conmforting dessert is the perfect winter treat made with wholesome ingredients to warm you from the inside out.

Filling:
4-5 apples
2 tsp cinnamon
1 ½ tsp ginger
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cardamom
⅓ cup + 1 tbsp coconut sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

Topping:
2 cups rolled oats
1 tbsp cinnamon
½ cup coconut sugar
½ cup almonds
⅓ cup almond meal 
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
Pinch of Himalayan salt

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Core and chop apple into bite-sized chunks. Add to a large mixing bowl and toss with the other filling ingredients until all pieces are well covered.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the topping and mix well.
  4. Spread the apple mixture out evenly into a baking dish then top with the topping mix.
  5. Bake for 45-55 minutes of until the apples are tender and the topping is crunchy.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
