Honest to Goodness Organic Quinoa Flour a high protein and high fibre flour made from finely ground, whole grain quinoa.

It has a mild nutty flavour which makes great pancakes and biscuits. When making cakes or breads, quinoa flour may need to be used in conjuntion with another gluten-rich flour in order for it to rise.

When using quinoa flour as a substitute in recipes, more moisture may also need to be added due to its higher absorbency.

No GMO. Preservative and additive free. Unbleached and chemical free.

HOW TO USE

Organic quinoa flour can be used in gluten-free baking or combined with gluten-rich flours when baking cakes and breads that rise. You can substitute organic quinoa flour for approximately half of the all-purpose baking flour in many recipes or completely replace wheat flour in cakes and cookie recipes. When replacing 100% of gluten containing flours in recipes, a binding agent, such as eggs, needs to be added or increased, the cooking time and temperature will need to be reduced and additional moisture is required. Organic quinoa flour blends well with other grain free flours such as buckwheat and almond flour as well as bean flours like besan flour. Try organic quinoa flour to make delicious pancakes, quinoa bread, pasta, muffins and biscuits. It can also be used as a thickening agent for sauces, in place of cornflour.

GROWING & PROCESSING

Organic quinoa flour is produced by stone milling seeds of the quinoa plant (stoneground) to produce a coarse, creamy coloured flour with a strong nutty flavour and aroma.
