PRODUCT INFORMATION

Ingredients

WET
1/3 cup organic plant-based milk
2 tbsp organic maple syrup
1 organic egg (or 1 tbsp organic flaxseed meal for vegan)
3/4 cup natural almond butter

DRY
1/2 cup organic buckwheat flour
1/2 cup organic coconut sugar
1/4 cup almond flour
2 tbsp organic coconut flour
2 tbsp organic arrowroot flour
1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt
1/4 tsp bi-carb soda
1/4 tsp organic cinnamon powder

1/2 cup Chocolate and Love Rich Dark Chocolate (71%), chopped roughly into chunks

method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC and line a square brownie tin (8x8 inch).
  2. Warm the plant-based milk in a bowl until hot. Add the remainder of the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients.
  4. Add the dry mix to your wet mix and stir. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
  5. Spread the mix using oiled hands or a spatula. Sprinkle some extra chocolate chunks on top if you wish.
  6. Bake for 22 to 24 minutes. (or until a toothpick an inch from the edges comes out almost clean).
  7. Cool for 15 minutes and then remove from the pan. Cool for another few minutes before slicing into squares.
  8. Sprinkle with extra sea salt and enjoy!

Store away in an airtight container (if they last long enough!).
